Mystery Solved!!!

Post by vine311 »

Anyone that showed up to the final after party at the Doubletree a bit early may recall seeing two (ahem) older women both wearing curly wigs and a wardrobe that was obviously stolen from Tina Turner in 1987. There were several theories as to who these women were and if they were serious. Well, tonight I'm sitting here on my couch flipping channels and I come across a public access show starring these two women. It's kind of a cooking show with the more frosted woman (Arcie) doing the cooking and the platinum one (Shasta) giving color commentary and the occasional offensive comment. The best part is when the show kicks into fast forward for to show a kind of low budget montage of cookery. It also turns out that these women have myspace pages.

Arcie

Hey Terp, need a cooking demonstration for TNA? Give these girls a call.

The best part...they call themselves the Cola sisters. That's right...Shasta and Arcie Cola.

I saw them in the audience at the headlining show. I've seen them perform at No Shame before too. I guess they are never out of character.

Their show is on RIGHT NOW, Tuesdays at 10pm. I do not have cable, but if I did, I'd be COOKIN' GOOD.

Arcie talks about the OOB headlining show and the lack of women in her myspace blog.

A woman who spends a lot of her time dressed like an Australian's nightmare is speaking with authority about what is funny and what is not?

Is that funny, ironic, or just annoying?

You work your life away and what do they give?
You're only killing yourself to live

Well, comedic tastes vary so much. It's just her opinion... You can't fault someone for liking or not liking a show.

But hey, she IS on tv, so....

Also, the layers of irony are so thick with those two it's hard to say what is honest opnion and what is just the character being provocative. Also, so of you golfed with one of them and probably didn't even know it.

They were right behind me and laughing very loudly. I'd like to see their show. Chris Trew! I demand they be on TNA!
