Due to length of the upcoming character workshop posting on http://www.austinimprov.com , I'm posting Bob and I's bios here.

(We hope to see you there!)

Instructor Bios:
Bob is a newly minted Texan, after having been a Chicagoan, a Baltimoron, and a Philadelphorousk. He has been studying and performing improvisation for 5 years at the ImprovOlympic and The Annoyance Theater in Chicago, where he performed with IO house-team Johnny Roast Beef for the last 3 and a half years. He also performed in such shows as Concept Album, Barbershop, TAG at Second City Unhinged and by invitation in the critically-acclaimed TJ and Dave. Bob received a Del Close Award performance nomination in 2003 and has performed at festivals in New York, Chicago and Austin.

He is a member of the Austin-based ensembles Tight and McNichol & May and would very much like to discuss the discography and merits of various bands with you.

Erika May has been an actor for 14 years, and improviser for 5, and working professionally in both since 2000. She is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory in Chicago and Improv Olympic, where she studied with Charna Halpern (Founder), TJ Jagadowski, Dan Bakkehdahl (“The Daily Showâ€

"Bob and I's bios" ?

"Philadelphorousk" ??

"scenic refinery town" ???

After they finish teaching their workshop on characters, maybe Erika will teach another workshop for us about the proper way to massacre the English language. She's got skills. Obviously.

last night a whole bunch of us were talking about how excited we were to take this workshop, and how sad we were that we were going to be out of town december 28 and would have to miss it. i hope that you offer a workshop like this again in the new year so that more of us will be able to benefit from it!

aw cool!

i know this might not be the best time with the holidays n'all, but both bob and i got a bug up our ass about characters after reading mick's book and were super pumped about sharing our love of character development.

plus, i'm off from the 26th-30th and was thinking kicking around some ideas for fundraisers for a local kid-focused charity...

anyway, if there arent many folks for this round, we will just reschedule to another time NOT during holidays. we will also keep the fundraiser theme!

thanks for the interest, deroos (and unnamed 'others')!

I'd love to do this workshop, but I'll be out of town the 26th-30th. Keep me updated on future workshops, though.

Wow, that's great that people would want to take this. Awesome.

Due to the fact that so many people will be out of town for it, though, Erika and I are going to postpone it until February.

Some people have already contacted us (via Erika's email) expressing interest in the 28th one -- we will send an update via your email once we schedule the new one. We'll also put something here on the board as well.

In the end, I think it will be better to have a fuller, single class. I always think I've learned as much from the instructor as I have from getting to watch everyone else in class. Having more people in the workshop will provide for more examples to work from, and will only make this better for everyone involved.

If my schedule is free then I would love to take this workshop. I learn a lot from watching you two play together.
