"Yes, And" appears possible in Law Enforcement

Post by Spots »

I was reading an article about Detroit and the type of private businesses which have popped up in response to corruption in local government. The article mentioned a private Risk Managment force that focuses on nurturing the environment as a means of eliminating risk.

One word that stood out was "love."

"Find community oriented officers."

"The cornerstone of protection is love."

"Focus on good quality of life for the people in the community."

"Focus on the prevention of the conditions which lead to violence."

"Focus on positive outcomes."

So my question is: Why is nurturing automatically associated with pussies? You could ideally restructure the entire idea of police in this country and save so many losses. Find nurturing types & get all the trigger happy protectors out of the system. Keep violence from happening. Keep so many out of prison. Keep so many people from taking stupid risks. And it has everything to do with nurturing a positive environment.

Pass this on to those who might be interested!
