FACT OF THE DAY: In 1976, it was discovered that a mannequin hanging from a noose at a Long Beach, CA amusement park was actually human remains. Subsequent investigation uncovered that it was the body of outlaw Elmer McCurdy, who had been shot dead in 1911, passed from one carnival sideshow to another, and had been on display at the amusement park since 1933.
