If you haven't been, CIF is a HUGE improv festival, with shows going on nightly at multiple theaters. It is a great way to see lots of different kinds of improv, meet people from all over the country/world (the New Zealanders show up every year), and just have a ton of fun. The submissions close in about a month, so hop to it.

As you know, the Chicago Improv Festival is currently accepting submissions.
We have been in the selection process and are very excited about shows we have seen so far.
As the holidays approach, I know it’s easy to get distracted with other things. But, I wanted to remind you all that the deadline for submission to CIF 9 is January 15 of 2006.
As I travel around the country, I have seen so many great shows and so many people with a passion for this art form. I hope I will see you in Chicago in the spring for what promises to be a fantastic week of improvisation.
As festival Artistic Director, I look forward to bringing new and exciting works to the party and to providing our participants with great instructional opportunities as well.
Have a wonderful holiday, and get those submissions in before it’s too late.
Sincerely,
Mark Sutton
Artistic Director
