THE JTS BROWN EXPERIENCE
CASTING CALL:

12-15 of the bravest, most fearless improvisers in Austin, Texas to work with Dave Buckman, Cody Dearing and Improv Legend Craig Cackowski in mounting a new run of the legendary format JTS BROWN at ColdTowne Theater.

Developed in Chicago in the summer of 1999 by director Craig Cackowski and a legendary cast of improvisors in Chicago:
Ike Barinholtz(TheMindyPRoject), Jason Sudeikis(SNL), TJ Jagadowski(TJ&Dave), Jack McBrayer (30Rock), Peter Grosz(ColbertReport) Gilian Vigman (The Hangover), John Lutz (30Rock), Sarah Gee (Second City Vegas), Jed Resnik (UCBNY), Christina Gausas (UCBNY), Ed Goodman(Second City Vegas), Rob Janas (Second City ETC), Case Clay, Jen Bills(second City ETC), Bumper Carroll (Boom Chicago), with direction from Improv Gurus Mick Napier (Annoyance) and Craig Cackowski (Community, Dasariski)

These future Legends came together for a nine month rehearsal process to develop JTS BROWN: one of the most challenging, and most freeing, longform improv structures you can learn. Or perhaps "structure" is not the right way to put it: a dreamlike montage of free-flowing scenes that bleed into each other, new edits, new scenes structures and a new paradigm in what is possible in long form. JTS Brown is the ultimate in large ensemble trust and support.

For 10 weeks you will learn the form, practice the form, attend a workshop instructed by Craig Cackowski where Craig shares some of the techniques and philosophies that the original cast used to build the form, as well as be coached by Dave Buckman and Cody Dearing Wednesday Nights and have a 4 week run at ColdTowne on Thursdays in May.

In order to facilitate bringing Craig to Austin and reserving rehearsal space rental and coaching fees, a spot in this 10 week workshop/rehearsal process/show run will be $100.

AUDITIONS ARE A WEEK AWAY AND WE HAVE ONLY A FEW SPOTS LEFT!!!
