Physical Truth In Physical Comedy with Caitlin Reilly

Learn to be funny from the neck down! In this physical comedy class, you will learn how to use your whole body and all of its quirks to be funny. Go beyond the stereotypes and use the skills of clowning to fine tune your comedic self. Challenge your assumptions, condition your body, and analyze various bits to discover the “why” of funny. Appropriate for anyone with experience in comedy, improvisation and acting from the curious beginner to the professional looking to sharpen the tools in his/her toolbox.

Caitlin Reilly has been a professional clown, physical comedian, and variety performer for the last 16 years. She has performed all over the United States with her husband and clown partner in the award-winning slapstick comedy duo, Schave & Reilly. She has trained with such teachers as: Bill Irwin, Larry Pisoni, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, and David Gaines. She lives in Austin with her husband and young son.

6 Classes to begin March 5, 7-9:30 pm. Through April 9.
