This class will focus on "finding the fun" in auditions and teach you how to use the talents and abilities that you already have to greatly improv your audition skills and make the audition process more fun for you! During Tom Booker's Commercial Audition Workshop we will go through a series of different types of auditions and review your work on video as we go and discuss and explore what acting, improv and real life techniques can be used in the commercial audition process to make your auditions better, easier and more fun.

Students are taped during their auditions so they can see what they need they need to focus on and much their work has improved during the class.

Due to the enormous amount of material covered and our limited time, each workshop is limited to only 6 students.

This workshop will be taught by Tom Booker, who before founding The Institution Theater in Austin, was an instructor and director at The Second City Training Center in Los Angeles from 2001 to 2007. Tom Booker has been studying improvisation and working as a professional actor since 1986. He has appeared in more than 80 commercials (Nike, AFLAC, Sprint, NBA, Pop Secret, Kia, HEB, Golfsmith, etc., etc.) and has worked with directors like Michael Bay and Spike Jonze. As a director, Tom
Booker has directed many commercials, many award winning plays and a feature film that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
