AIC camping trip?
It's been brought up independently twice in the past week. How much is there any interest in an AIC camping trip?
The much harder question would be WHEN, since improvisers tend to be, ya know, busy on the weekends. I might suggest Nov 16-18, the weekend of the F1 race in Austin, when getting out of town might be a good idea anyway (and it's possible that theaters will be doing fewer shows than normal).

Yeah I noticed that soon after posting this. But if we go somewhere within a 2-hour drive and return on Sunday morning, I don't think any campers would be too pooped to participate in the potluck.acrouch wrote:Keep in mind that the Austin Improv Potluck will almost definitely be happening that Sunday afternoon.
Journey to the Big Water went camping at Krause Springs the night before our debut around the same time 2 years ago and made it back in time for a 6:30 call, so it can be done.
We did a campfire bat. It included a scene about a brand strategy meeting between God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

In the past, it's worked better to just plan the thing and get people to join you, rather than try to find a date that works for everyone.
I would also caution you to check to see if the camp grounds have availability. Most camping sites with amenities are booked way in advance during the nice camping weather seasons. If you want running water and restrooms, call ahead and book it. I went without making a reservation and got stuck at a primitive site. You have to pack your water in, and make your own toilet. BOO to that!

Is Waffle Fest happening this year? If so isn't it usually that same weekend?
