For me, watching Paul Qui play warmups with the Stool Pigeon cast in the Scottish Rite Green Room

Butt Kapinski. It was so unlike anything else that I saw at the festival. And it was fun to see Sam directly involved in the show.

The rest of the ZEDTalks cast realizing Brenner had a real live scorpion on stage with him.

Oh, yeah, seeing Brenner before that show… reaching for the box while asking what was inside… then having him show me… that was quite a moment. Very sad that I missed the ZEDTalks myself.

Kaci slightly flubbing a line early on in the Pgraph show and immediately committing to making her character nigh-unintelligible, and STILL managing to make him incredibly sweet and endearing throughout so what could have been a one note running joke became a compelling (and hilarious) character trait.

Right before our Zarzamora! show, Brad Hawkins comes into the greenroom like gangbusters and says, "Beer me!" We didn't think he was going to make the show, then he buttoned it...

For me it was the 3 For All show at the Hideout. For some reason that show more than any other made me realize what I want to be able to do on stage.

For me, that Stool Pigeon was the perfect improv show. It was so playful and fun. The Austin people represented in it hardcore, too.

I know it was one of many running bits, but that "I KNOW, DARYL!", Keeping-it-Together boys game was just the most hilarious thing to. It was a shining example of creating an interesting relationship so quickly.

Being "behind the scenes" and seeing all the volunteers -- especially the techs -- working to make the shows awesome. The only other festival I've seen that has a similar level of coordinated tech was in Atlanta at the Black Box Festival... and that's because they are all "DramaTech Theater" people at a TECH university (Georgia Tech).

For me the one moment that drove that idea home was the "5 Deadly Improvisers" show, as there were 3 tech-imps in the booth: music, lighting, and another tech to CALL the lighting. (You could really pick any show that had 3 tech imps: music, lighting, sfx).

for me the awesomest moment was showing up on Thursday several hours after the staff and volunteers, after working a full+ day at a new day job, kicking back and watching ZEDtalks without a care or worry about the festival production side of things. that was a great night for me because it was the first time i've truly been able to just enjoy the festival without fret in a long long time.

I have the picture in my mind, and I can testify that you were in fact a pleased and unperturbed spectator.

Seeing 3 For All perform at Scottish Rite! It just made me want to work so much harder than I am and try so many different things. It was so damn inspiring.

Having a good conversation with Scott Adsit wherein he asked me to promise him I'll start at least one troupe by the end of the year, no matter how small.

Sitting in the audience for the Lottery and feeling the immense love and support and genuine joy as the names of people we know and love were called up to play with Beer Shark Mice.
