Bad Movies
Hey all! I wanted to post a new thread for this glorious occasion of every Austin Imp posting! So here's my question...
What's a movie that you watched at a movie theatre that was so bad you walked out on?
Here are my two:
First one ever was "Super Troopers". I know, I know. It's a cult classic now but at my teenage time, my best friend and I didn't "get it" and weren't very amused so we left after the first 15 minutes. I still haven't seen it all the way through.
My second was "Ocean's Twelve". Ugh. I love Ocean's Eleven but by the time they entered the plot line that Julia Roberts character was going to pretend to be Julia Roberts b/c she GASPS looked like her, I was over it. Just not the same...
YOU???!!!

It was originally going to be much darker: it was going to be about the estranged daughter of a cartoon trying to murder her human father, but the producers wanted something more "family friendly," or at least safe enough for kids to watch to some degree (but it's not, so I don't get the change). If I could, I'd remake this movie, clean up the terrible writing, and bring back that plot point in a subtle way.OhNicole wrote:"A comic strip vamp seeks to seduce her cartoonist creator in order to cross over into the real world."Chuy! wrote:Cool World
I had to look it up. Now I want to watch it. WEIRD!!!
I never walked out of a movie, but I did fall asleep during an in-flight movie presentation of Antoine Fisher. So I guess you could say I mentally walked out of that one.

Cool World ... I remember the First Act being pretty strong! But all that spike stuff was silly. Certainly no "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"
I don't think I ever walked out of a movie (except at South By Southwest a few times but that doesn't count)
I purposefully went to see TWO Uwe Bolle films because we wanted to be the only ones in the theater ... laughing our asses off.
"Bloodrayne" and "Dungeon Siege: In the Name of the King"

I walked out of Requiem for a Dream, but I wouldn't call it a bad film.

I almost never walk out on movies, but I sure did on the Farrelly Bros. Kingpin. Fuck that shitty shitty movie.

Re: Bad Movies
I walked out of this movie as well! I had never felt compelled to leave a movie in progress before until I found myself in the middle of this one.OhNicole wrote:My second was "Ocean's Twelve". Ugh. The only movie I ever walked out on was a Jackie Chan film. It was probably circa 1997 if I had to guess. I worked at a Hollywood Video a few years before that and got free rentals, I was way into old Jackie Chan films like Drunken Master. I just did a quick scan of imdb but I couldn't figure out which one it was. I guess the more Americanized stuff appealed to me less. It wasn't Rush Hour or Rumble in the Bronx. Those are okay, but it was something around that era.

Shun! Plus, bonus Bruce Willis.OhNicole wrote:

Well
The only film I can remember walking out on is when I was a teenager.
I went to see this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dungeonmaster
based on the title because I was a geeky teen who played D&D. (I know this comes as a shock to many of you.)
When I was a teenager I would watch almost anything. That movie is incredibly bad.
