Saturday night socializing at Chalet WakemanOrf
Posted: July 28th, 2006, 3:34 pm
Following this Saturday night's momentous events (the end of the Kazillionaire* run, the start of Cops and Lawyers run, the anniversary of the first sugar plantation in Hawaii being founded, etc.) I offer the use of my house for a social gathering and celebration. Come play bocce in the yard! Taste any of three flavors of Orf-brewed beer from my beer fridge! Witness the newly created emperor bed (it makes a king bed look like a serf's cot)! If nobody wishes to drive south to my house, then I shall return there and drink beer, play bocce, dance to recorded music, and gaze at my large bed all my myself.
There is also a barbecue grill for the using. BYOM
The location: 3512 Southridge Drive, in the 78704

Easiest (not necessarily shortest) way to get there from the Hideout without getting lost:
South down S. Congress or S. 1st to Ben White
Turn right on the Ben White access road, but don't enter the highway.
Stay on the access road and proceed to Banister. Turn right onto Banister.
Turn left from Banister onto Southridge Drive.
(If you get to a set of train tracks, you've passed Southridge and gone too far.)
Go a little ways on Southridge to house #3512. It will be on your left, as the road slopes uphill and curves to the left. There is a clearly visible house number on a wood plaque on the house, though many other houses have no such markings.
Use the gate on side "A", the right-hand side of the house as you look from the street.
See you there Saturday night. Or not.
