Hello Imps!

Some of you have you been asking yourself "Where has Sarah Marie gone? Is she dressed in a bear suit and hiding in a cave? Did she finally figure out time travel? Are kittens holding her captive?" Well despite declaring her love of hiding in caves, dressing in bear suits, and huffing kittens, Sarah Marie has NOT been doing those things! She has been rehearsing for a super sweet, historical-ish, punk rock musical: BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON.

It's playing at The Blue Theatre all through June, and she really really really wants you to come and see it. She will even dress up as a bear for you if that helps...

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE PLAY:
From the people who brought you Evil Dead, The Musical -- DM Productions is proud to present the Texas premiere of one of the most talked about musicals in years, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. An exhilarating and white-knuckled look at one of our nation's founding rock stars, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson recreates and reinvents the life of "Old Hickory," from his humble beginnings on the Tennessee frontier to his days as our seventh Commander-in-Chief. It also asks the question, is wanting to have a beer with someone reason enough to elect him? What if he's really, really hot?

The show portrays Andrew Jackson as an Emo Rock Star and scrutinizes the American politic machine with wit and cynicism. The theatricality of BBAJ ranges from hard-edge Green Day-like concert to PBS historical recreation to vaudevillian buffoonery. Nothing is sacred, especially not the rise and fall of the man whom many consider America’s most popular president. “Populish Yea Yea.”

Thank you for all of the support and love while I've been so far away doing this play. I miss you! I love you! I hope to see you soon!

-heart-

i ran into the cast of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (including friends from high school and college) at Opal Divine's Friday night. you were not among them. clearly, you are NOT actually in this show! i therefore have no choice but to call your bluff and come see this show to prove that you have perpetrated an elaborate ruse on the entire Austin improv community! i urge everyone in the AIC to do the same, and seek empirical proof of your deception by attending as well! perhaps on a Thursday night, where we might scientifically sample this so called free "whisky" beforehand!

J'ACCUSE!
