This American LIVE

Post by TeresaYork »

Hello AIC!

If you haven't yet come out to see This American Live at SVT, you have 4 more chances to do so!

Each week one cast member produces a show and comes up with the basic premise. Our shows intend to mirror "This American Life," but with more visuals and improv.

Here is the schedule:

6/1 "What a Coincidence" Producer: Teresa York (Come see my show!! I have two free tickets --PM me and they are yours.)

6/2 - "Haunted." Producer: Kevin Miller (Come see his show too!)

6/8 - "Food Glorious Food" Producer: Andy Buck (I think you know what I'm going to say!)

6/9 - "Beginnings and Endings" Producer Emma Holder (Fourth beat of a joke!)

TICKETS: http://thisamericanlive.org/site/

Hope to see you all there.

First, I want to say that I love This American LIVE. As a big fan of This American Life and all shows like it, this is right up my alley. It's likely up your alley too. Broken up into acts, this show strikes a perfect note, repeatedly.

Second, Mike Ferstenfeld's Ira Glass impression from his desk on stage is absolutely brilliant.

Third, I'm super thankful that I've been asked to be a part of two shows of This American LIVE. The Professor: Improv Inspired By Doctor Who had a mini-Bat-style (in the dark) cliffhanger of a show last Friday. This Friday, I'm reading what is a rather personal, autobiographical story based on the theme of coincidences.

Fourth, yes.

i've gotten to sit in for two shows now, with the casts of The Professor and Process, and i'll vouch for any and all of the above. amazing show, dedicated cast, unlike anything you've seen onstage before. check it out!

I agree! Wonderful show last weekend!
Sometimes it's a form of love just to talk to somebody that you have nothing in common with and still be fascinated by their presence.
