Who likes metal?

Post by Chris_Nicholas »

by which i mean the musical genre, not the not the various elements thusly termed.

i am myself a fan of it. there is a rather good show coming up i'd like to see and wondered if anyone here might want to come along.

it's May 1st at Emo's: Messugah, Baroness and Decapitated.

I love metal. Love it. I am not available to go to this show though. I have a show of my own that night.

sweet. yeah they are both awesome. i've seen Baroness live once (opened for High on Fire and Opeth). great show.

Decapitated are also super-badass.

I don't listen to it much these days, but if Manowar does another tour, go fucking see it. Your mind will be blown, it's the best show.

that sounds rad. i had some Manowar on vinyl, back in the day.

well i am definitely going to go to this Meshuggah show. it's at Emo's East (where the old Back Room was), which i haven't been to yet. i hear tell they've got a really good sound system in there these days. should be totally fuckin' awesome.

it is an early (8pm) show. haven't quite figured out all of my logistics yet, but when i get a plan i'll post it on here, if anyone wants to meet up.

otherwise, hope to see you down there.

Limp Bizkit, famous metal band in a totally good way. They've written new songs that sound like their old songs. They've updated their repertoire with auto-tune, and Wes is as amazing as ever. Hell, even Fred keeps the nonsensical rhymes to a minimum. All in all, I am very impressed with that folks and looking forward for concert in November.

Really? I find it far less likely to be confused for human speech as most modern spam posts. Look at this construction:
Limp Bizkit, famous metal band in a totally good way.
It differs from English speech in two main ways:

1) It's a sentence fragment, lacking a verb.
2) It refers to something involving Limp Bizkit as "good" -- the English word they wanted is "awful."
The silver knives are flashing in the tired old cafe. A ghost climbs on the table in a bridal negligee. She says "My body is the life; my body is the way." I raise my arm against it all and I catch the bride's bouquet.
