Want to help OOB recover costs?

Post by beardedlamb »

This is an open call for anyone who is willing to go to businesses to offer up space in our program for advertising.
If you fancy yourself someone ho enjoys selling things and enjoys helping the prgram costs get covered, please let us know. We can get you the tools you need to go to businesses and sell, sell, sell. We can also set up a commission of something like 15% if the salesman is so inclined.

You would be going out to locally owned (just cuz they're easier to communicate with) stores and businesses with a sales sheet which would include a few mock ads so they could gauge the size and pricing options as well as some literature about what kind of customers attend OOB and how many audience members will be seeing the program. The advertisers will be able to choose from one of three sizes in the program, quarter page, half page, and full page (dimensions to be revealed.) also, the back full page will be available as well for a little extra.
You can just pick a route with lots of those locally feeling folks' shops on it like soco and maybe the drag three years ago. well, northern parts of the drag that aren't owned by the friggin stupid co-op now. anyway...

In the first two years of OOB this was mine and a few other well hung jury folks' job. It went well and it was pretty easy. We had ads from Habana, Antigua, Great Hall Games, Tom's Tabooley to name a few. Many of them advertised both years I sold ads. It always paid for the program printing cost and then a little extra.

Also, if you work somewhere that might be interested in peddling their wares in this program that is obviously encouraged as you have an "in."

We would want to have the ads sold and have their graphic art ready to go by August 15 to make sure it makes the prgm.

thanks, my little salesmen and women.
