Full Details about the show:
Four By Free Fringe Fusion Roll (A Very Special Live Taping)
This week the Free Fringe features four wildly different shows in a improv bento box of new and seasoned acts for your sampling pleasure. You’ll need pickeled ginger to cleanse your palate between bites. These troupes will also be filming their shows to submit to festivals, so come out and be forever captured on someone’s Vimeo account. Bring the laughter.
BBw:
Emma Holder, Ashley Nugent, Chris Baldenhofer, Kristin Henn, Frank Netscher, Delaney Liming Hernandez and Amy Carpenter
The Better Half:
Women Playing Men? Yes Please!
Fred, Mitch, and Joe are manly men. They belch, they scratch themselves, and they love big boobs. After a long hard day working at the quarry they love to relax by getting together for some conversation, beer, and cake decorating.
Based on the audience suggestion of where you would find a group of women (past suggestions have been the opera, a book club, and a knitting circle), improvisors Madeline Chauvin, Ashley Lowe, and Regina Soto bring Fred, Mitch, and Joe to life to hilarious effect.
Squirrel Buddies:
Jon Bolden and Roy Janik aren’t just buddies… They’re Squirrel Buddies! What does that mean? The verdict is still out. But so far what it means is that they’ll do anything to delight each other and the audience… anything to make each other laugh. Will the show take place in the audience? Will Roy attempt as handstand? Who knows. Joy is the order of the day.
The Amazon & The Milksop present Catchin’ Frogs:
Catchin’ Frogs: Down-Home Yarns & Good Ole Times, brings the audience back to the blackberry-pickin’, white-washin’, creek fishin’ era of Mark Twain, The Little House on The Prairie, and Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm.
Taking inspiration from the core elements and character-types of these works of Southern American nostalgia, Kaci and Curtis do what they do best – thoroughly amuse and mess with each other as they explore one of their favorite settings for comedy gold.
Firth & Arjet
Firth&Arjet present their new format: Tomboys
It can be tough growing up as a girl who prefers trucks over dolls, getting dirty over being pretty, and adventure over politeness. It’s a lot easier with a friend who likes that stuff just as much as you. They might get into trouble but that won’t stop them, even as they get older.
“The show was original, interesting, and hilarious. I’d book them again anytime.” — Yvonne Landry, Theater Owner / Festival Producer, New Orleans
