CLIP NIGHT: A twist on Movie Night

The Institution Theater presents a twist on Movie Night!
Sunday, April 15, 7pm till whenever
We're having a night for friends to get together and share food, drink and their favorite movie clips based on a theme!
This time 'round, our theme is to find movie clips that are UN-intentionally funny. Think about your favorite bad movie, there's gotta be a scene that the director, writer, actor, etc. did not intend for the scene to be funny but in its extreme absurdity, winds up making us laugh.
Here's how it works:
1. Think of a scene that fits this theme
2. Find that scene, either on the DVD or access it online.
3. Come to Clip Night, and share your clip with everyone else!
The clip can be from any movie as long as you believe that it's a scene that was not meant to be funny. Contact me at asafronen@theinstitutiontheater.com to let me know that you're bringing a clip and in what format. Also, let me know what movie you've chosen to make sure that we aren't doubling up on movies.
We will provide some refreshments but would also like to ask you to bring a dish or beverage to share that also ties into our theme. So along the lines of "unintentionally funny" bring dishes that are "unintentionally yummy"! Ya know like a dish that looks gross but is really tasty, or flavors that you wouldn't think would taste good together but are delicious? Creativity counts! There will be prizes! did you hear me? I SAID PRIZES!!!
This is free fun and open to all students, staff, alums, and your friends! This is a chance to mix and mingle with your Institution Community! You don't have to bring a clip, you can just come and enjoy the fun!
Please prepare a few words to set up the clip, as if you were on Conan, promoting a film. Bring as many clips as you like but pick a favorite in case we have too many videos to have time for but pick a second favorite in case we get duplicates.
If you have any questions, let me know. Hope to see you there!
