cooking/potluck

Post by Nancy »

I know there are at least a couple of imps that like to cook, and hopefully there are others that will come out of the woodwork. I have been involved in potluck groups in the past and they were always a fun reason to try new things and meet different people. Awhile ago Karen Jane and I discussed pulling one together to meet monthly (maybe). It could rotate different themes. letters of the alphabet or ethnicities and could rotate who hosts.
Any interest?

I'm interested! Love the theme ideas. Let's eat! Together. And with covered dishes. :)

I love getting together and sharing homemade food. I would love to join in on this!

I would be down for this just to make me cook more (and of course, hang out with fun people).

Yay...I'm excited!
Is there a night of the week that works better for people? I like the idea of Sundays 'cuz there's time to cook, but am relatively open. I'd gladly host the first one. My house isn't huge, but I think we could make it work.

I would love to do this!! I don't cook a lot but this seems like an excuse to do so more! (PS Sundays post FTM show would be ideal, if we're throwing out suggestions)

hmmm...I'm not sure how to interpret the lack of response regarding nights that work for people. I'd like to think that it means that every night is good...but, I've seen the schedules on some of y'all and I'm not buying it.
Otherwise, I'll just pick a night to give it a whirl and we'll see how it goes.

Sundays would be great, as I do most of my cooking on Saturday, so desserts can have a day to chill, but obviously anything non-dessert would be day of with prep the day before.

I'm pretty flexible but it might be a good idea to make a doodle and email interested parties to find a best time, or make a Facebook invite to feel out interest on particular dates.
