Please come drink my beer! (and maybe see improv too)

Post by the_orf »

Ladies and gents, I am quite happy to announce that this coming Wednesday evening, a mere two days from this initial posting, a batch of ORF BEER will be ON TAP AT THE DRAUGHT HOUSE PUB!

I did a collaboration with the brewer there, and we came up with a copper ale that we're calling HELLA COPPER. It's a hopped-up version of sweet coppery ale, hints of some fruitiness balanced by some complex hop character. Please, swing by the Draught House Pub and have yourself a pint or two. It's located on Medical Parkway at 42nd Street--if you're coming from the north, Burnet Rd. runs into Medical Pkwy at 45th street. It's also one block west and one block north from the Central Market on N. Lamar.

As a bonus, I'm hoping to host a little improv show featuring some All-Stars of the AIC, 7pm Wednesday night in the Draught House bier garten. Come have a laugh with your delicious Hella Copper. It's gonna be hella good.

And if you can't make it Wednesday, go by on any other day of the week and get yourself an Orf brew. It will also be available at the Texas Craft Brewers Festival at Fiesta Gardens this coming Saturday, Sept 24. Sweetness.

Stay festive,
Orf

So, no improv show at the Draught House due to the last-minute-ness of it and everybody having rehearsals and the like, but the beer will still go on. Drop on by after your show/rehearsal/job/therapy session and knock back a cold Orf brew! Hella Copper should come online around 5 or 6 pm. I'll be there to shmooze for most of the evening. Maybe I'll put up a show next week, if anybody's interested in doing one.

DELAYED!
The brewmasters have decided to let the beer age a couple more days. We'd rather serve up a good beer late than a not-quite-ready beer early. (Sort of the anti-Microsoft business model.) If you were planning to drop by the Draught House on Wednesday, THANKS! Please stop by on Friday or anytime after that over the next couple of weeks.

Even better, stop by tomorrow, ask if they have Orf beer, and when they say no, turn around and walk back out. That should make 'em think.

Don't forget, you can also sample a taste at the brewers festival on Saturday at Fiesta Gardens, from 2-8 pm.

Cheers!

I had your beer, and it is GREAT! It was my ONE post-Century beer Saturday, and totally worth it!
