New to Austin, old to theatre

Greetings and Salutations!

Just letting you wonderful people know there's a not so new gal in town. I'm originally from Cincinnati by means of a year in New Orleans. My interests include costuming & makeup, music, and acting - although it has been years since I've shown a shadow on a stage.

Years ago, I was involved with community theater in several cities while I was working for Uncle Sam. I put away the face powder to concentrate on raising my two sons and finishing up my degree in graphics many years ago. I've toyed with the idea of getting back either behind the scenes or grabbing the spotlight once again as a character actor (and I'm quite the character). Some of the shows I either acted in or assisted with: Night of Jan 16, Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, King & I, Lion in Winter, Owl & the Pussycat, Annie Get Your Gun and a host of Gilbert & Sullivan operettas.

Now, I find myself in Austin and have the time to renew my interest in various aspects of theater and hope that you will use and abuse me accordingly.
