Stashwick!

You work your life away and what do they give?

Re: Stashwick

Have you taken his workshop before? I know I'm new to all this, but I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around "clown exercises."

Yes, I took a workshop with him in Chicago in 2009. On the surface, it wasn't anything I hadn't heard variants of before, but it was really good organic work. He's one of my favorites, though, so I'm biased.

While there's no guarantee how Stashwick (who has posted here a few times, I believe) will run his exercises, think of "clown exercises" as a way to help you isolate and draw inspiration from the movement/expression of your own body.

Question

Post by Ryan Hill »

I was thinking of taking Stashwick too since I've heard so many good things about it, but...I just started Level 2, perhaps I should wait until next year?

Thoughts?

I think the Switchboard workshop will be good- I saw them perform a few years ago in Chicago and thought they were amazing. Rebecca teaches at Annoyance and I had her when I took the intensive there- great character stuff.

I say there's no time like the present. When better to learn from great teachers than when you're just starting out?
