Borrowing a guitar for OOB

Friends!

I know this is probably a really hard question to ask in Austin... does anyone have a guitar that RINGO can borrow for their OOB set? They're 7:30pm downstairs at the The Hideout on Thursday 9/1. They might have a lead from a friend but it would be nice to have a back-up.

[sidenote: OMG it's a double-bill with GGG. I just got nine lady-boners. Seriously. Fans of musical improv and adorable people best buy their ticket to this happy taxi *now*]

Electric or acoustic?

Acoustic. I usually play a Martin D-15, but I'm not picky as long as it stays in tune.

I have a limited edition Taylor that you can use if you are *very very oh so very careful with it*

Might need new strings, though. So bring some if you've got them and you care about that kind of thing.

Alternatively, there's a beater Fender or Epiphone hanging around The Hideout that you could use. New strings would definitely be helpful for that one, I suspect.

I have an Alvarez electric acoustic but I'd go with Kareem's Taylor if I were you... :-)

Karen, the Taylor sounds terrific. You're very generous to offer it - those are beautiful instruments. I don't care too much about new strings unless yours are rusty or something - and we'll be playing the day we arrive, so I wouldn't have time to stretch them out and break them in.

My email is jamesrone612 at gmail dot com. Would you shoot me an email so we can arrange a hand-off?

Wow, that sounds suspicious.

Hey Badr, fairly recently you told me this happened to you a lot and I expressed some disbelief.

I take it all back, Karen.

No, Kareem just hasn't yet disclosed all the changes he's gone through in Edinburgh.
