If you work up north...

Post by Brad Hawkins »

Why should the downtown hipsters get all the fun? How about an improviser lunch for those of us who work up in the bleak wasteland of north Austin? Who's up for it?
The silver knives are flashing in the tired old cafe. A ghost climbs on the table in a bridal negligee. She says "My body is the life; my body is the way." I raise my arm against it all and I catch the bride's bouquet.

Yeah, I know where you fucking work. You and Miller. Bastards.

OK, who's got some ideas for restaurants?

I live north (Wells Branch)!

Some affordable options with ample seating for groups...
near Mopac & Parmer: Opal Divine's Marina, Pok-e-jo's BBQ, La Morada
at Gracy Farms: Mangia Pizza
at Arbor Walk: Mighty Fine
at Great Hills & 183: Jason's Deli
on between 183 & Jollyville: Firebowl, Brick Oven, another Pokejo's...

A place where you order individually, like Pok-e-jo's, Firebowl or Jason's, might provide faster service and you won't have to divvy up checks.
