The Institution Theater Presents SWITCH with Jill Bernard and Asaf Ronen
Thursday July 28, 8:00 p.m.
The Institution Theater, 3708 Woodbury Drive
Improv legends Jill Bernard (Drum Machine) and Asaf Ronen (imp.) have long been fans of each other’s character work. Now they have the chance to walk in each other’s improvised shoes. In SWITCH, Bernard and Ronen play character-based scenes with permission to jump into the other actor’s persona at any time, forcing the other to do the same.
Jill Bernard has been performing with ComedySportz-Twin Cities since 1993 and is also a founding member of HUGE Theater. She has taught and performed at over 40 improv festivals in North America and is the author/illustrator of Jill Bernard’s Small Cute Book of Improv, which explores her renowned method of creating spontaneous characters.
Asaf Ronen is the creator and editor-in-chief of YESand.com and is the author of Directing Improv: Show the Way By Getting Out of the Way. He has been involved in improv since 1990, starting in college and working with Theatresports, ComedySportz, and is now the Education Director of The Institution Theater.
Opening for Asaf and Jill is Grey Matters, light comedy from the darkest of places featuring Kathy Rose Center, Madeline Chauvin and Todd Hart.
Tickets are just $5, FREE for current Institution Students.
Plenty of free parking!
