Okay, so I am behind the times.
I created a JPEG, and now I want to put it on the forum. I am not sure how to do that --I think I am supposed to find a photo hosting site or something? I have flickr, but the web address doesn't have "jpeg" at the end of it, so is this not possible through Flickr?
I feel like I should have been asking this question circa 1994, but here we are.
Thanks.

Yeah Flickr may be a bit tricky because some users disable letting people find the link and so on. But if it's YOUR Flickr you should be okay. I found this in their FAQ:
Where is the HTML code and photo file link?
The HTML code to embed a photo in a web page that you used to find on the All Sizes page is now only in the Share menu above the photo, to the right of the Actions menu. We now also include BBCode! (standard message board code)
There are a few cases where the code may not be available: 1) If the photo is restricted. 2) If that person has turned off "Share this" or access to original files.
The direct link to a photo file is no longer shown on the page. Per the Flickr Community Guidelines "pages on other websites that display content hosted on flickr.com must provide a link from each photo or video back to its page on Flickr." Linking directly to the photo file doesn't do this.

You put a tag on either end of it, such as:

Right click on any photo you want to use that is visible online, whether on your own flickr account, or on another website (Facebook usually works too).
Then click on "copy image location".
Paste that address into the text box on here.
Highlight the address and then click the 'Img' button at the top.
I believe that should do the trick.
