Hey everyone, I'm hoping someone can help. I'm working on a news show and I want to find music for the main intro and for segments.

Does anyone know of where I could listen to and download public domain music for free?

I want it to be bold orchestral music and I'm not very knowledgeable about it, so if anyone has suggestions, my ears are wide open.

Thank you.

Is this for stage or broadcast/distribution?

I'm a big fan of FreePlayMusic.com

It's for stage, but I would like to be able to put it on YouTube, etc. and not have to change the music.

archive.org has a lot of copyright free music. You should also start looking into things made under a creative commons license- I don't know if it's organized in any central location, but the creative commons website would probably be a good place to start.

Any music with Creative Commons licensing is fair game. The Wired CD is a good place to start: http://creativecommons.org/wired

Unfortunately, I don't use Public Domain Music. These sites are a great resource, tho!

Word. Creative Commons is a solid route to go.
