We've all heard about the new space arriving soon, so to prepare, ColdTowne is rollin' out their New Space schedule early, starting in August. What does that mean for you? Comedy, 7 NIGHTS A WEEK! But before we can do that mean to you? It means it's time to submit your troupe to the August/September schedule.

There are less show slots available, so make sure you fill out the for wisely!

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION is July 30th at 12:00pm.

Please be wary of overlapping casts in troupes. ColdTowne Theater would like a variety of troupes on our stage, with a variety of people. We are shying away from troupes whose players are also in a lot of other troupes. We love giving stage time, but our audiences need a variety of faces.

WHAT IS COLDTOWNE LOOKING FOR?
We are primarily looking for submissions from improvisation and sketch troupes. All facets of improvisation including, but not limited to, short form, long form, solo, duo and ensemble based troupes (from all over Austin!) will be considered. Preference is given to troupes who consistently perform well, market their shows and REHEARSE regularly WITH A COACH/DIRECTOR.

We will notify all submitting troupes via email by July 5th, 2011.

Cortnie Jones will quickly correct me if I'm wrong but ANY TROUPE from ANY THEATER (in fact ANYWHERE) can (and should) submit for shows at ColdTowne. I heard some distressing news this weekend that a student from an eastside improv school // comedy theater was under-the-impression they couldn't submit to ColdTowne. False and in fact I suspect that ColdTowne is tired of seeing my name in their submission box and would love to see fresh comedy from fresh new faces from all over our fresh city. Please submit !!

I very much dig this. Arthur & Michael have been telling me about their ideas for upcoming shows to help ring in the new space. I couldn't be more excited.

Less slots open for public submission. We're changing things up, rearranging the schedule some.

There won't be a huge decrease in the number of slots per week available to troupes, but we're juggling things so all our class shows are happening one night of the week and making room for some other projects, anticipating our big move.
