The Merlin Works Institute for Improvisation is excited to announce that we are now offering sketch comedy classes!

Sketch Comedy 101 is for anyone interested in sketch, whether you're involved in theater, improv, stand-up or no aspect of performance at all. We will study the beats of a sketch, types of sketches, getting motivated, and trouble shooting your sketch. This class culminates in a sketch comedy performance for a live audience! (Class size limit = 12)

Sketch Comedy 101 | Saturdays, 12-2pm, July 23 - September 17, 2011 (No Class September 3) | with Courtney Hopkin | at The Salvage Vanguard Theater, 2803 Manor Rd

For this class you will need: 1) Access to email and the internet to receive updates about class and links to sketches and videos. 2) Access to a printer to print your sketches and bring to class. 3) An idea book, scratch pad or journal to record ideas the moment you have them
