Progressive Promotions recently did flyer distribution for Oh, Science! at a very reasonable rate of 36 cents per poster, although that might flex a bit depending on location. You can see a sample of his work below. I like that he keeps track of locations. Here's his info:

Below is the rundown of where the posters went. It took just under 4 hours. I hope it helps out, and I'd be glad to talk promo ideas if you'd like.
For future reference, it was a challenge (part of it was struggling with a dying bike tire that had to be replaced today...ouch) to get them out at a worthwhile rate. Therefore, I'd probably need to get at least minimum wage ($7.25/hr.) from now on to sustain future poster runs as is, as I only made $5.33/hr. today, being as efficient as I could be without doing everything in the very middle of town. 30-35 cents per poster was a noble experiment, but it can't survive as is, as I've discovered.
