Starting this Saturday at 8pm at the Hideout Theatre and continuing through the end of June is Holy 1960s Batman, Batman!

The Caped Crusader and the Boy Wonder are taking over the Hideout Theatre stage, Saturdays in May and June, for fully improvised episodes of the gloriously campy 1960s Batman television program.
Listen up, ol’ chum! This is not your typical improv show, so look out! Expect clever and cunning costumes (we’re talkin’ full-out spandex and tights!), spectacular sounds and stunts, fist-flying fights, gullible Gothamites, heinous henchmen, vile villains, mystifying molls, and a certain delightfully daring dynamic duo!

Deano Jones and Kaci Beeler star as Batman and Robin, in homage to the work of Adam West and Burt Ward. They are joined by an all-star ensemble cast and a new guest improviser (who will play the episode’s villain, a character chosen by YOU, the audience) every week. Round that out with a team of terrific technical improvisers ready to WHAM! BIFF! and POW! with lights, sound effects, and musical scoring – and you have an enlightening and invigorating evening of entertainment worth leaving your Batcave for!

Special Guest Villains:

May 7 – Shannon McCormick
May 14 – Mike Kinald
May 21 – Asaf Ronen
May 28 – Tom Booker
June 4 – Shana Merlin
June 11 – Lauren Zinn

June 25 – Show Canceled!

There's a guest villain interview up on the Hideout blog with Shannon! He has played a RIDICULOUS number of villains in his acting career, including being the voice of The Riddler in DC Comics Universe Online.

Adam West and Burt Ward are no match for Deano and Kaci. Had they been cast as the 60's Batman and Robin, the show would have ran longer than M*A*S*H. I hope they bring this back next year!

Doing this show has been an amazing experience and I'm so glad we're able to do a couple more shows before we ride the Batmobile off into the night!
I hope you can join us!

Things people are saying about the show:
"EVERYONE go see 1960's Batman. INSANELY FABULOUS show- just dead on, so much fun, and hysterical. The best improv show I have seen yet.."
-Bob Olmstead
For me, this is a must see show for any lovers of Batman, improv comedy, or both! Funny, enjoyable, and many references to the old Batman show make this a truly unique experience."
- Albert A. from Now Playing Austin
"Deano Jones and Kaci Beeler make the PERFECT dynamic duo! Couldn't stop laughing during the entire 'episode'. Kudos to not only Jones and Beeler but the entire cast and of course the special guest villain. Now the only problem is to figure out when to go and see the show again before the close the run the end of June! See you there -- same bat time, same bat channel!" - Ruby Sinclaire from Now Playing Austin
"Bottom line: You don't have to be familiar with the old TV series to enjoy the hell out of this show, although, if you are, you'll enjoy it even more. Regardless of your superhero fanaticism or lack thereof, this comedy is enough to make your own inner sidekick exclaim, "Holy 'Holy 1960s Batman, Batman!,' Batman!"" - The Austin Chronicle
