Have you ever created a format but nobody to test it with? How about a genre show but not enough time to rehearse? Or a warm-up game that you haven't had the chance to try out? A theme night but no theater to put it up? A sketch but no audience to test it out in front of? A bizarre concept that you need to see before even you really understand it?
Now you have the opportunity to put these ideas on stage! Born from the crazy, wild, and successful Lock-In and cross-bred with 'Inside the Actor's Studio", the monthly Coldtowne Shakedown gives a location and an audience for you to try damn near anything!
Each show will give 3-5 concepts the stage. Each 10-15 minute performance will be preceded by an introduction of the performers involved and followed by a short interview/Q&A segment. Depending on the time available, there may be opportunities to 're-do' a concept if it isn't quite grasped beforehand.
How your concept is staged is up to you. Improvisers will be provided if you need them, or you can bring your own troupe. You can hold rehearsals or let things fly the night of the show. Ad-hoc troupes are as welcome as established ones. If you're chosen (or even if you're not) join in on the promotion. This is a show as much for other improvisers as it is the audience, so be sure to tell your peers. And bring beers.

Is it a sign of narcissism or dyslexia that I read that as my own name?B. Tribe wrote:bread in hawnks
The silver knives are flashing in the tired old cafe. A ghost climbs on the table in a bridal negligee. She says "My body is the life; my body is the way." I raise my arm against it all and I catch the bride's bouquet.
