Just moved to town - Ben Irey

Hey all! (that's right, so new to Austin that the "y" and "all" are still in separate words)

Just moved to Austin from Chicago where I was doing some barprov and shows with a couple troupes. Played at iO Chicago as well. I'm looking to start performing around town and am open to any type of form.

If you've got the need for a stand in or want me to show up at a rehearsal for the full physical and litmus test, I'm game!

Looking forward to meeting more improvisers around town as I hit up shows!

Also Oh, Science hosts the Long Form Jam on Sunday nights at Coldtowne. 8:30. Free. Free show at 7 as well.

Full disclosure: I'm not in Oh, Science but they are my bros. And gals.

Welcome to Austin, Ben! Come by The New Movement sometime and check it out. We have our weekly 8pm jam called The Shootaround, where anyone can get on stage and try out their improv chops. Look forward to meeting you!

Hi Ben!

MerlinWorks/Gnap is having a free mixer this Sunday afternoon at Salvage Vanguard Theatre, where you can come just to play and have fun or look for new troupes and projects to get involved with.

The Hideout has several shows that give free agents a chance to play, including Maestro, the Fancy Pants Mash-Up, and the Lottery show. It's a great way to get some stage time while meeting new people.

Just start showing up and hanging out at any of the many improv venues in town, and I'm sure you'll soon have more improv than you know what to do with.
