Skech Show "Cereal for Adults" Debuts TONIGHT

Coldtowne Mainstage is proud to present their latest sketch extravaganza...
Best part is, if you miss it tonight, it's playing every damn Friday for, like, weeks and weeks.

Studies have shown that cereal contains 50% more sugar than it did a mere 60 years ago. In that same time, crime rates have risen, Earth’s population has become unsustainable and M. Night Shamalan has made several movies. Coincidence? Is it time to return to a simpler era, when breakfast actually meant something? A racist juror, a serial killer, and a few beardless cast members. must heed the advice of a 150 year old orphan to find out.
What did all that mean? We don’t really know, except to say that ColdTowne Theater’s Main Stage cast returns for their fourth full-length comedy revue, Cereal For Adults – a mix of social and political satire, music and straight up nihilistic comedy. Four out of five cast members agree, Cereal for adults is the single most important thing to happen in Austin ever.
Cereal For Adults features a cast of writers/performers made up of multiple Best of Austin and B. Iden Payne Award winners and sketch comedy veterans. The revue is helmed by veteran performer and ColdTowne Theater founder Michael Jastroch.
The ColdTowne Theater is Austin’s main stage for alternative comedy, with improv, sketch and stand up shows Thursday through Monday, featuring the smartest, brightest, and hardest-working comedians in Central Texas. ColdTowne’s resident comedians are three time winners of the Austin Chronicle’s “Best of Austin” Readers Poll for “Best Comedy Group” and have appeared all over country at festivals, on college campuses and at house parties.
