PIP - Where did the puppets go?

Post by sara farr »

Hey guys,

I had a rough week this past week, but everything has turned out surprisingly well, all thanks to some generous friends, who are truly great people. I wanted to share this story with the friends of the PIP, so I posted it on the PIP blog.

http://puppetimp.blogspot.com/2011/02/f ... ately.html

Not knowing where the puppets have gone has inspired friends to make up their own story of what happened. These stories have been really fun to think about and I would LIKE to do something with them for the September PIP show -- like make a few "what if" video clips depicting where the puppets might have gone.

I myself would like to think that the puppets are living their own life some place where they can make a difference -- perhaps working at a youth shelter to cheer people up.

If you have an idea you want to share, please post it here and perhaps we'll use it in the show.

Tired of riding in the trunk of the car, the puppets broke out and took the car for a joy ride. Stopping to get "Freedom" tattoos, they abandoned the car and got on a brightly colored bus driven by a funky looking band who took them to Hollywood, where they were going to become movie stars.

Realizing that they were being hijacked by a car thief, the puppets broke out of the trunk and knocked out the villain. Not knowing how to drive the car, they abandoned it and set out on foot. Not knowing how to get home, they take a wrong turn and end up at an orphanage where they intend to just stay the night. However, once they meet the kids and realize they are really in need of cheering up, they decide to hang around teaching them how to make their own puppets and put on shows.

The thief gave the puppets to his neglected kid. The kid is teaching them all she knows about hijacking cars, which is all she ever learned from her dad. When they've learned what they need, the kid and the puppets will create an elaborate sting operation to bust the thief. In the process, the kid will finally be adopted by the kind librarian who lives next door. I'll see the puppets years later doing shows in libraries based on their book based on their great escape, "Gone in Sixty Seconds."

I feel sure that the puppets, who have been given WAY too many privileges by Sara over the years, saw a Corona billboard and headed to Mexico to party. They drove Sara's car until they saw a sweet convertible to steal.

The puppets are in Cabo, and they are not coming back. Sorry Sara. I hope you will take firmer hand with the new puppets so we don't have a repeat of this incident.

once every 77 years, the Seven Outer Realms converge with our own and a tournament of champions with the fate of all creation hanging in the balance is held in the Gardens of Divine Justice. to ensure total fairness, the champions of the Outer Realms must face the champions of our own. the emissary happened upon the Farrmobile and sensing the great potential of the strange creatures within, transported the car entire into the Gardens. the puppets were extracted and afforded palacial accommodations and seemingly their heart's fondest desire (the car, not needed, was refolded back into our realm, though the original spacial coordinates had shifted so it reappeared in a different location). the evening's festivities, however, were laced with traps and pitfalls laid by the Lords of the Outer Realms to ensure none of Earth's champions would see the tournament itself...the puppets did their best to navigate the treachery, seduction and machinations around them and those that survived now battle the fiercest warriors from throughout reality for our freedom...and our very existence!
