I apparently missed out on this phenomenon in college. You play one-minute clips of 60 songs in a row (totaling one hour) and take a shot of beer with each new song. Everyone gets wasted or pukes or both.
This must be done!
What songs would be essential to an Austin Improv Power Hour? (Time and place to be announced in the near future?)
I submit "If You're Gonna Play In Texas (You Gotta Have A Fiddle In The Band)" by Alabama

Most definitely. When I was in college it was called "The Century Club" and we did 100 shots of beer in 100 minutes.
I'd be a designated driver for you nitwits.

LIKE! I was in the booth when Dave & I worked out that this would be the best starter music and that he wanted to use it in every show

OK - Majcher's got a good choice there; but Madonna? KC & the Sunshine Band?... Really? Are y'all going dancing or getting paralytico here?
I submit Pat Travers' and Pat Thrall's "Snortin' Whiskey, Drinkin' Cocaine".
Oh wait. Sara - good on the James Brown call.
P.S. Andy - not so many people are going to be able to read their iPods after 60 shots of beer. Having more songs may not be important - unless you're setting up the playlist beforehand.
