December MothUp

After a Thanksgiving hiatus, the MothUp returns to Coldtowne in December!

Thursday, December 23, at 10pm.

Come and share your stories, or just watch others tell theirs. This is our own local version of The Moth (www.themoth.org) where people share true stories told live without notes. The stories can be funny, heartbreaking, insightful, or thrilling. Come with your story prepared and put your name in the hat. We'll draw ten names and hear their stories. Each person gets 5 minutes.

In October, the theme was Escape and we had tales of literal escapes from European thieves and masturbators as well as more metaphorical escapes from weird relationships and bad situations.

This month's theme is "Homecoming." It's deliberately broad, so search your past for any story that touches on that idea.

Oh, and did I mention it's COMPLETELY FREE?

Hope to see you there!

Rats! So close to Christmas! I'll be out of town. Hope it's a great show, though!

yay! I'm there.

The few of these I've been to have been fun, low-key, and compelling. I highly recommend checking one out.

Don't forget! This is tomorrow night! Come full of tales of family reunions, finding your place, returning to your roots, or whatever "Homecoming" means to you.
