Play Stringing the Pearls!

Hi everyone,

So I'm leading a workshop for a social anxiety group in Austin, using improv principles to teach conversational skills and confidence. You can read the full low-down here: http://forum.austinimprov.com/viewtopic.php?t=11373

I want to begin with a game of "Stringing the pearls" to introduce people to improv but, since I'm not sure what peoples' comfort level will be at first, I wanted to be able to show them a game before they signed up to play it themselves.

So. Can you all play stringing the pearls for me on the forum? Let's do a 5 person game; just say which spot you're taking (spot 1 is the beginning of the story, spot 5 is the end) and write your part of the story. Go out of order because that will be fun. I just need one game to share with the workshop, but if the game ends and you want to play another be my guest.

I'll start:
5: But when he woke up, the dinosaur was still there.

1) Richard lived in a small shack on the edge of town and liked to drive his VW everywhere.

3) To get revenge, the wizard turned Richard's VW into a dinosaur.

2) Richard was speeding one morning because he was late for work. He hopped the curb and ran straight through a wizard's rose garden.

5) And lo, that winter never ended...

I'll start:
5: But when he woke up, the dinosaur was still there.

4) Richard was so shocked he passed out!

5. From beneath his coat, golden wings spread out like the rising sun!

4. At long last she had found the enchanted dog!

1) Once upon a time Princess Ann lived in a run-down castle.

2) It had never been the same since her enchanted dog had run away, so when she turned sixteen, she set out to find him.

5. From beneath his coat, golden wings spread out like the rising sun!

7) And the dog said "At least we finally made it to the top!"

3) She searched all over the dilapidated kingdom for many months until she met and defeated a witch guarding a deep deep pit, but in her moment of victory she lost her balance and fell into the pit.

5. From beneath his coat, golden wings spread out like the rising sun!

7) And the dog said "At least we finally made it to the top!"
