If you were to stage an improvised version of Dr. Who in Austin, who would be the perfect Doctor?
You can either nominate someone to portray a known incarnation of the Doctor (Tom Baker, David Tennant, etc.) or suggest someone as a new regeneration of the Doctor.

Aden Kirschner (there's another Aden, right?) and I discussed pitching a Doctor Who show a while back, and Doctor Who is what partially inspired the Professor Dobson's Time Travel Adventure format The Starter Kit did during the 41-Hour Marathon.
For the sometimes wide-eyed, yet knowledgeable manic and prone to bouts of melancholy of the last two Doctors, I'd go with someone like Erik Adams or Deano Jones. Also, they're sufficiently lanky.
Also, it's Doctor Who, Andy, not Dr. Who. Sheesh.

i submitted a Doctor Who format for the WHJ Memorial Scholarship for OOB this year (titled, inspiringly, Professor Why. :p). just because i'd been tinkering with how the mechanics of it would work and figured SOMEONE should see it since i doubt it'll ever see the light of day.
as for who i'd cast...well, i'd want a few so we could play with regenerations...
Peter Rogers
Jon Bolden
Roy Janik
Jeff Britt
David Lampe
i'd almost love to see every improviser take a crack at it, because everyone would have such lovely and different takes on it. lol!
and while i'd love a chance myself, i'd also be very interested in playing the Master...or Rory.
especially Rory.
i love Rory.

I will happily play a Dalek. Though we'd need to do the show in the downstairs theater...

more people i've thought of i'd love to see play the Doctor (more in the mad scientist/absent minded professor vein)...
Asaf Ronen
Craig Kotfas
Chris Allen
Andy Crouch
Eric Heiberg
Matt Pollock
Mike D'Alonzo
oh, and for an Ecclestonish take...

and, because i'm bored at work and Justin already broke the Time Lady barrier with Aden (splendid call, by the way)...some fairer sexed Gallifreyans i'd love to see...

Purely for my husband, I have been pushing to have an improvised Doctor Who show happen for years. (I know basically nothing about the genre)
Please, someone do this and we will happily sit in the front row and enjoy.
Fun fact: Jon made recipes out of this book as a child:

Topping Haggerty would also be a great female doctor!
What about an ensemble cast with rotating Doctors?
I want to be a companion. And a villain.

I too have been wanting to see/do the WHO format for many years! I would personally love to play The Master, as my evil laugh/goatee does not get nearly enough exercise. I also think Jericho/Joplin/Jordan could pull it off in their sleep.

I'm a big Dr. Who nerd back from the Baker days (I wore a Dr. Who scarf through most of my high school career). I would kill to play the Master.
I think Roy would be amazing - he has the right kind of energy.
A show where the Doctor and possibly the Master regenerated and went through scads of companions would be awesome. I know someone who owns a Tardis and the crew who built it.

Eh, only one person can ever be the best at something, and for the most part, no one wants to trade lives with that poor guy.

I did make it plain that I would kill, yes? The victims would be found when and where I chose, their life and vital fluids drained so that all that remained was a dessicated husk shrunken to the size of a doll.
