Austin Improv

Anyone have any good recommendations for apartments that are relatively inexpensive and have good to great management? My fiancee and I are looking for places and we're on a budget because she's going back to school. Most places are either out of our price range or look like they're falling apart and/or have really bad reviews online.

Ideally we could get a 2 bedroom, but that might not be possible. It'd be cool to live central but we're willing to live in a place like Far West Apartment-Land if that gets us a better deal.

Just thought I'd ask if anyone has places they recommend or recommend avoiding.

I love my apartments. Management is friendly, the maintenance men fix the things I break and sometimes we get big parties thrown for us in the pool area!

More Things I Like:
1. They let me paint the hell out of everything
2. Trees!
3. Right off of 1-35 and 290
4. I think it's pretty and affordable
5. Nice neighbors!
6. They always have cookies in the office.
7. Super pet friendly. Dog and cat people all over the place!

Things I Don't Like:
1. Birds poop on cars like craaaaazy
2. The washers and dryers run on non-logic and half workish.
3. Sometimes wacky things happen, like when they painted the parking-lot 2ft too small for the cars... But they fixed it!

Bryan and I think we have just enough room. Our appliances work, we like it! If you ever would like to come over for a cup of tea to see our one bedroom place and scope the grounds, just give a holler!

A lot of people I know live at the Sandstone apartments on Manor road. It's a great location and a good price especially for that area. My friend's the landlord and I can vouch for him.

Alori Properties has several apartment complexes mostly in and around the Hyde Park area. I have rented from them on more than one occasion and I can say they are really great landlords. They are prompt on repairs, very easy to deal with and all very warmly professional.
