Didn't get the Wired job; but I do have an interview for Asst. Managing Editor (AME:press::Jr. Executive:corporation) at an 8,000 circ daily in Vermont. I'm driving up there and they're paying for my gas and my hotel (verra, verra good signs) and it pays - well, it pays well, let's just say that. The work sounds very similar to exactly what I was doing at the Texan, only easier because I won't be holding down a full Grad school courseload at the same time.
Best part: I can spend my weekends in Montreal - it's a 4&1/2 hour drive. Means I can go to Canada whenever I like, and I might be able to visit McGill University so that 3, 4 years down the line if I decide to go on for my Ph.D., I can just do it in Canada.
