Hey there AIC! Britney Salyer and I are going to be in Vegas next week on a work trip. We have our evenings free and thought it would be super fun to find some improv to see or do while we were there. Anyone know anyone or anything about improv in Las Vegas?
Thanks a bunch!

Nope, but there's a dueling piano bar in Mandalay Bay I used to play at a lot.

Wayne Brady has a show (?)

this looks like a Comedy Sportz show:

Stage Benders (?) -- listed under "Novelty Comics"

...also, Shana Merlin's name came up when searching:
"las vegas" +"improv comedy" -"club" -"clubs"

When Kacey and I went to Vegas last January, Brady's show was just opening. I considered going until I realized that paying $60 to see some decent-at-best, super-safe short form (including Wayne Brady improvising parody lyrics to existing popular songs! Woo!) would fill me with more rage and bile than my body can hold.

I saw Second City in Vegas and it was over-priced and super sucky. We also saw Penn and Teller, which was overpriced and awesome.
I'd suggest seeing Cirque du Soliel or something.

Penn & Teller--totally worth it.
Cirque Ka was fantastic. O was the one that was selling out like crazy the last time I went, and I was less impressed. Not that it was bad, but I just enjoyed Ka a lot more.

saw Cirque's Zumanity in Vegas because I think it was the only one we could get tickets to, and it was pretty bad, really. I hear all the others are fantastic.

M&M Stores! Cirque Shows! Penn and Teller! THE THUNDER FROM DOWN UNDER!!! It's a shame that everything in Vegas is effing expensive and the improv is scarce.
Luckily, Britney and I will for sure get to see at least one show as part of our course study for theatrical lighting (Eee!) PLEASE put all your puppy hopes and dreams on us getting to see The Beatles: LOVE. (Double Eee Squee!) And I will pay the karma back with interest.
We'll go adventuring in the sweaty city and see if we discover any improv and tell you of our adventures!
Thanks for the feedback! Ya'll are the besta!

I cannot recommend the Penn and Teller show enough. It's still at the Rio, I think, which is a little off the strip, but well worth it.
