iPod Help

I put my iPod on shuffle when I exercise and it always seems to play the same songs day after day. Is there a setting that I'm missing that can avoid this?
I have days worth of music I've never heard, but appropriately, Aerosmith's "Same Old Song and Dance" comes on every day.
And in case this is something, I don't rate any songs on there.
Thanks.

You might want to sync it up with your computer and just reset all the play counts. Or, reset it to factory default and add all your music back, assuming you have everything saved somewhere else. Older iPods in particular had a funky randomizer, and the more a song gets played, the more likely the iPod is to queue it up.

Oh, I always thought of my old iPod as a living being who happened to be overly fond of Evanescence.

I think it's more of an algorithm problem on Apple's part than anything else. Some guy got pissed off enough to write a
program for it. It's the best solution I can find so far. If I get some more time tomorrow, I'll search for some additional info.
