Back during the 40-Hour Improv Marathon, The Starter Kit created a format that had everyone improvising a clip show where we looked back on the last seven to eight years of a sitcom that never existed while also playing out a present-day story of some big upcoming event. That spawned the idea for our
Murder! format that we used when we last hosted the Thursday Threefer in October. This time, we're going back to the original idea with
SITUATION: Comedy.
Come see your favorite moments that never were with flashbacks to life-changing moments, hilarious montages, touching memories (created on the spot), and an assortment of characters you've come to love these past few fictional years. It's a nostalgic look back at a brand new show each week.

I have a vague memory of being some kind of racist grandpa in this during the marathon. Did that happen?

I'm not sure about racist, but I remember you playing my husband in a couple of flashbacks. You were dead in the present day storyline, and I was a sassy grandma. If I remember correctly, during the flashbacks, we got married just before the bombing of Pearl Harbor and you died in your next scene by jumping on a grenade or bomb.
Yeah, thanks for that.

There's a hell of a lot of competition tonight for stuff to do, but this run starts tonight.
Let's all be there!

Bit of trivia:
The Starter Kit presents SITUATION: Comedy was originally going to be called The Penultimate Episode and penultimate means next to last. Tonight, is our next to last show in this run. Coincidence or destiny? Come tonight to see for yourself.

Our last show as April's Threefer headliner is this Thursday, and we have three special guests. Yes, three! We wanted to go out in true sitcom clip show style with appearances from all the people who never appeared in our fictional show that's aired these last seven imaginary years.
SITUATION: Comedy's special guests for the last night are Jon Bolden, Eric Heiberg, and Teresa Kubos.
