Roll call - who has made posters in the last year?

Post by Matt »

Ginny's Printing will no longer offer free printing. I know several improv groups have taken advantage of their offer in the past, but I can't negotiate anything without some real numbers to back me up.

So, please respond here if you have made posters in the last year, where they were printed, and how many you ran. Ideally, I'd love to know a dollar amount that you actually spent on those posters.

If you're not comfortable posting said information here, please feel free to pm or email me at pollockm over at that google place.

I'd like to get a feel for how much the AIC would need to commit in terms of funds for any potential poster deal.

I would say that The Hideout has done 100-150 posters every month since last April.

PGraph has done maybe 3 runs of 50.

Let's work something out with them! Hell, even at double their cost, it's worth it.

This is definitely something we're interested in doing. I know it's been a great resource for many troupes and theaters, and I've seen many of the posters all over town.

The Starter Kit has done 2 runs of 50 posters, I believe.

Gnap! has done 7 runs of fifty in the last year for our late night shows and one weekend only shows, and were planning on doing a lot more this year.

I ran 200 or so for Boy Toy and the Glamping Trip.
Hundreds more for music events.
I don't speak for ColdTowne, but they've printed thousands.

The more real numbers I can accumulate, the better. Keep 'em coming.

ColdTowne Theater has run off at least 200-250 per month since the Ginnies thing has started. I'd say our troupes have run off another 100-150

So far I'm seeing a reported number of around 600/month, which would come out to 7,200 a year. Round up with more users than reporters and estimate 8,000 per year, at a cost of $4 per 50, and we get a cost to Ginny's of $640 a year for those posters. Pretty sweet deal that we've been getting this past year.

My understanding is the offer ends at the close of this month.

Is it $4 per 50 posters? That's nothing.

I base that number off of Tuft's post on the other thread - I haven't verified it. Keep in mind that's the number for the cost to Ginny's - I expect them to charge significantly more than that.
