co-blogging?

I want to set up some place on line where the rest of my improv group and I can go and post stuff. Like a blog, but we can all post to it. I'd really like to be able to sort by who posted what, but I guess that's not super important... Basically I want this: http://theopenend.com/
But I just want my peeps to be able to post. I don't want a google wave type thing. I suppose we could just use our google group, but it doesn't look super slick and cool and fun.

I don't wanna do a lot of work to get it either. This is just a feeler post to see if what I want exists. If it doesn't then I'll just use something that's close. I tried making a livejournal community, but it seems pretty lame. Any other idee-ers?

Many blogs are group blogs. With a basic platform like Wordpress, you can maintain one admin account in charge of everything like site layout and then give everyone else a user account. The users can all log in and create their own posts. All the posts would appear on the blog and you can easily set up a widget or something to separate the posts by author.

Try signing up for a free Wordpress.com account with a lesser-used e-mail address and experiment with it some. If you like it, you could always buy a domain name or host your own site with the actual Wordpress platform (which is also free).

I recommend Wordpress only because I know it and use it... I'm sure there are lots of alternatives, but I've found Drupal really irritating more than anything else.

In fact, that site you linked to appears to be running the latest version of Wordpress.

Tumblr might even be more simple because contributors can submit content just via an email address without logging into a site admin

Thanks Brad and Jon. I had checked out wordpress, but I was afraid I'd have to download the thing and host something in order to achieve the results I wanted. I don't have any space to host anything, and I don't have the drive to do all that right now.

I'll take your advice and set up some test accounts with wordpress and tumblr. Thanks y'all.

Wordpress.com would host the blog and then you can lock down a domain name that can forward to the Wordpress blog.
