Austin Sun Fest is a celebration of all things cool and creative in Austin - there will be music, poetry, videos, photography, theatre - all kinds of stuff, including improv.
The Sun Fest is Tues-Wed, June 6-7, from 7 to 10pm, at Zach Scott Theater's Andrew & Grace Groten Stage - it's where the bicycle shop off Lamar just south of the river used to be (1426 Toomey Road)
Foolish Mortals will be playing in tonight's showcase. I think P-graph is playing tomorrow night (yes?). Admission is $10 for one day, $15 for both (discount for students). For more info, go to:

Thanks to Sara and Eric who came out to see the Sun Fest. They rock! If anyone can get out and support P-graph tomorrow, you should do it. Very cool venue - if it's like tonight, there's mostly films and stuff like that, with performance interspersed. As probably the only comedy act (like tonight), they should kill. Cheers!

A couple of notes to Parallelogramophonograph about Sun Fest...
Be ready to not go on at the time you are intitailly told. FM got bumped back due to technical difficulties.
We had the option of using wireless mikes or not. We went without b/c we were worried about being "weighted" down and destroying equipment. We had to project much more than at The Hideout because they have cool stadium seating. Of course, doing bar prov means you are probably great at projection. Next time I wanna try the mikes.
We also went on after a series of dark/depressing acts (films and other non-comedy things) and had to warm up the audience. They eventually found their way.
Overall, to everyone, it is a cool venue and it was great to play improv outside of The Hideout again. And the Sun Fest itself is a pretty cool fest.
And thanks again to Sara and Eric for forking over the dough and waiting patiently for us to hit the stage.
Oh, and they have beer for donation money. mmm...
