Theatre Action Project Big Kid Birthday Bash
Posted: January 8th, 2010, 5:03 pm
Theatre Action Project's annual fundraising event is fast approaching, and I could use your help!
The event is a big carnival with games, like a cakewalk for cakes from local bakeries, a ring toss for bottles of wine, jugglers, fortune tellers, fabulous music, tasty foods like funnel cakes, hot dogs, snow cones, and more. I haven't been before, but I've heard in years past the White Ghost Shivers played and Girls Girls Girls performed.
Anyway, we're looking for all sorts of wonderful donations from the Austin community and beyond to support our silent auction. It's good advertising for the businesses and since we're a non-profit, the donation is tax-deductible.
Please let me know if you have anything to donate or have connections anywhere in town to help us get: gift certificates (to restaurants, coffee shops, spas, etc.), theatre tickets, art work, anything really!
I've already spoken to some of you about donations for your improv classes or tickets to your theatre's shows (you might get new regulars or people who will continue to sign up for your classes!), but others out there might work in restaurants or have connections somewhere, so please let me know.
My work e-mail is chelsea@theatreactionproject.org so feel free to catch me out and about around town with items (but Jastroch please don't hand me Coldtowne tickets when you see me on the treadmill at the gym) or e-mail me with any donation you might be able to give and we'll figure out how I can get the item or certificate from you.
Even if you can't donate, you might be interested in attending the event, and bidding on these fabulous prizes! Here are a few details - more to follow in the next few weeks:
3rd Annual Big Kid Birthday Bash
Date: March 4, 2010
Time: 7pm
Location: The Allan House, 1104 San Antonio, Austin, TX
THANK YOU!
