I have a request of the entire AIC.

Stop being wonderful.

That's right. You might think that your kind and supportive natures are doing a service to the AIC and to the world around you, but you're very wrong.

Why? Because when you are nice to people, you make them think that they are special, and that's a dangerous thing. People who feel special think they can do all kinds of things that they really can't. It makes them stop over-thinking and doubting themselves. It makes them take risks and do things that -- if they took the time to think about -- would realize that they have no business doing. It surreptitiously and sneakily changes them.

What's worse, is that the inspiration spreads like wildfire. People start spreading their "creativity" and their "kindness" to others and the next thing you know, you get swept up into the mix. You find that you have less and less time to be selfish, mundane and cowardly.

If you don't stop now, the AIC will be overloaded with beautiful, courageous, kind-hearted, supportive people. Which in turn will cause us all to be swallowed up into a spiraling good-karma chasm that we will never have any hope of escaping. And that, my friends, is a fresh hell that I don't even want to think about.

It's too late for me. But there's still a chance for new people if you all agree to stop the wonderful-ness now.
