Now that was a damn fine episode.
Sun and Jin reunited. Desmond continuing to push fates. Jack finding his way. Questions of did Sayid kill Desmond? Why did Sun look at Locke in the gurney as respond "It's Him."?
Also, the way that the storylines crossed over with each other in the sideways universe was very satisfying. I am more eager than ever before to see what happens next.

Too bad we have to wait TWO WEEKS for the next one. But it might be bittersweet, as this is the last LOST break ever.
I loved the last moment of this episode too. "You're with me now." Yowza.

I'm not even sure I remember all the questions that they're supposed to answer anymore. Is there something to be said that the hatch was a big deal in season 2 and Richard Hatch was the first or second winner on Survivor? Is that even right?
Sun and Jin getting back together was pretty touching.

awesome episode. a very rare "ensemble-centric" episode, as opposed to individual characters. Jin/Sun reunion was sweet and everything i'd hoped for (even if Lapidus got a little corny about it...but it's Lapidus! dude's awesome even when he's corny.). Jack got more awesome "man of science/man of faith" moments here. Desmond continues down his Buddha like path (perhaps why Smokey tried to kill him? because he met him on the road? :p). Claire seems less crazy, or at least willing to become less crazy. Sayid...well, i still wouldn't want to be alone in a room with him, but i think the mustard seed's been planted. and is anyone else eager to see Zoe get her fish out of water "i'm just following orders" ass blown up?
also, Sun's recognition of Locke in the Sideways world was scary cool.

i'm loving the momentum that all these threads are being drawn together in that world now.

As your designated fact checker, you are correct. Hatch was the first winner of Survivor.

I loved The Last Recruit. Ditto on being a spot-on ensemble-centric episode. I'm finally coming around to really liking Jack. I love how this show has put Jack's stubborn ego through the ringer to the point where it seems natural that this "man of science" would begin to believe and let go of his need to control.

The fine folks at Geeks Who Drink occasionally do an entire quiz dedicated to one subject (recent topics were Seinfeld and Harry Potter). They just announced
this. If any of you kids think you're up for the challenge of an all-LOST quiz, start trying to build your team now.

I will do this. I think if we have Jeff, Peter, and Ceej involved as well, we could do pretty well here.

The rest of the country has no taste. Forget this notion of red and blue states. That's not the country we live in. We live in a land mass divided into two groups -- those who watch "According to Jim" and those who watch "Arrested Development." That's infinitely more frightening than anything politicians could dream up.
